£100 million for Altnagelvin: the project, launched by Health Minister Angela Smith, will be rolled out over the next 10 years. The Heritage Lottery Northern Ireland has celebrated its 10th Anniversary at the Linenhall Library in Belfast. The Heritage Society and the Environment and Heritage Service launched the directory of Funds for Historic Buildings in Northern Ireland and the Directory of Traditional Building Skills at Belmont School, Belfast. Much-loved artist and writer Louis Muinzer died at his home in September. Louis was a long-time contributor to and supporter of the Ulster Architect and became well known to the magazine's readers.
